How to Give to the RSO

[Give Now] to our Annual Fund of CHALLENGE GRANT.
The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra continues to play to capacity crowds throughout the concert season with music of the highest artistic excellent. Your Symphony plays not only in Roanoke, but extends its reach to nearby communities and schools that might otherwise never experience a live, professional orchestra.

Your support makes this happen as tickets alone provide less than half of the revenue necessary to fund subscription series, outreach concerts to communities both near and far, and increased educational programs and activities for our youth.

If you are a current supporter, thank you for ensuring that the music lives and lasts. If you interested in learning how to join our donor family, read on....

Individual Giving
Your support provides much-needed revenue for ongoing programs and helps build the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra's future. Your donation can be part of the Annual Fund or you can make a secure donation through this web site. Other forms of individual support include Honor Gifts and Memorial Tributes, as well as gifts of Appreciated Stocks. We appreciate all donations, regardless of the amount.
  • NEW - Challenge Grant - [Give Now!]
The RSO has been awarded a $50,000 challenge grant from an anonymous foundation! When matched, all $100,000 will go directly towards the RSO's Endowment. Please consider how this might extend the life of your 07-08 donation by contributing an additional tax-deductible gift to this Challenge Grant opportunity. Make a secure donation now.

  • Matching Gifts
Do you work for a company that will match your gift to the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra? Corporate matching gifts provide a wonderful opportunity to double your contribution. See if your company participates in these types of programs.

Corporate Giving
Corporate leadership for the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra is critical to ensuring that our concerts and educational programs are accessible to all interested individuals regardless of economic status. Through an annual contribution, your business will enhance its access to the RSO's well-educated and affluent decision makers. Sponsorships include a variety of benefits including special receptions for your employees and clients and brand affiliation with the region's premier performing arts organization. All corporate leaders receive acknowledgements and benefits associated with their sponsorships.

Estate Planning
Remembering the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra in your estate plans ensures that the music continues not only for today but for the future. Become a member of the Gibson Morrissey Society and leave your musical legacy by supporting the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra's Endowment.

Special Events

Advocating
Let your elected officials know that you support the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and the arts in our community. We rely on grants from federal, state, and county agencies in order to close the gap between total expenses and the revenues generated by ticket sales, concerts, and other revenues. See a list of elected officials on the Advocating page.
