Individual Giving
|
Each year (from September through February) the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra depends on the generous support of community members in order to ensure the continuance of its concerts and programs. This includes the Masterworks Series and Picnic @ the Pops concerts, free community performances such as the Music for Americans concert each 4th of July, run-out concerts (where the entire orchestra goes on the road to perform in both nearby and far away communities), and education programs for students and teachers grades K-12. Within our music education umbrella, the RSO provides Adventures in Music (AIM) and Discovery concerts to young audiences at the Roanoke Performing Arts Theatre and In-school Ensemble programs, where musicians bring the music into the classroom and across the curriculum.
NEW - Challenge Grant
The RSO has been awarded a $50,000 challenge grant from an anonymous foundation! When matched, all $100,000 will go directly towards the RSO's Endowment. Please consider how this might extend the life of your 07-08 donation by contributing an additional tax-deductible gift to this Challenge Grant opportunity. Make a secure donation now.
All donors enjoy the knowledge of sharing the future of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and each donor level has its own special *benefits described below.
*Please note: The IRS states that the value of certain benefits is not tax deductible. We have listed this information for you under Membership Levels. If you elect not to accept the benefits offered in appreciation of your contribution, you may deduct the full amount of your gift. Simply notify us in writing or send us an email (caroline.ellison@rso.com) stating that you would like to waive all benefits. You may also fax this information to 540-343-0069. Please keep a copy for your records.
You may also pay a lasting tribute to someone special to you by making a donation in their honor or memory through an Honor Gift or Memorial Tribute (below).
